Most salerooms are built around the single good consignment — the piece that gets its own catalogue entry, its own estimate and its own reserve. That model does not serve a clearance firm with three houses to empty this week and a van that needs turning round.
So HCS Auctions is built the other way round. We take whole house contents and bulk consignments, lot them up quickly, and put every one through an online sale opening at £1 with no reserve. Nothing waits for the right catalogue. Nothing comes back unsold.
And one deliberate difference: we do not clear properties ourselves. Plenty of salerooms that take clearance stock also run their own clearance vans, which quietly makes them a competitor for the jobs their suppliers are quoting on. We do not, and we never will. You clear, we sell.
